Cool or warm, sparse or cozy..white walls offer many things to those who choose to share their home with them.
There was a day when I hated white walls, but I have changed my mind. White can be a beautiful backdrop to well chosen details. To be done right, white rooms need a little more thought but they can be well worth it!

Agree! The white backdrop places emphasis on all of the other details in the room- the artwork, the wood grain, the personal effects. The images you chose demonstrate this perfectly!

I love white walls. My husband could not be convinced so we went gray. I did get to keep my reading room white though.

I've found that most people will never tell you (as their decorator) that they like white walls. Most say they want yellow. It's more of a matter of convincing :) But white walls offer so much room for growth and warmth and interest as long as their is a mix of textures.
Leah, you are right. White walls are not usually at the top of everyone's list. They do need special touches in order to sing!
