Wonderful White

A few years ago, I wouldn't be caught dead saying I liked an all white room. Recently, though; I can't get enough of them! The simplicity and serenity is irresistible. This home found via Desire to Inspire and Peter Murdock, is an amazing example of how to decorate in all white.

The glossy back floor is so dramatic. I'm obsessed with very dark floors, I want some for myself! In my opinion, why this home works; is because it has many textures and details (like beautiful molding) that add interest. (Just my opinion)
BTW, I am sitting and watching the Weather Chanel; right now. There is a pretty decent storm heading right for us. Needless to say, blogging may not be at the top of my "To Do" list this week:(
Hope to be back as soon as possible.

White is so cool, pure, and relaxing. I don't know I just find a white room relaxing especially if it has high ceiling and big windows too. And white rooms make accessories with color stand out. But the problem with whites is that if you have a small precocious child living with you, they tend to do things that would probably mess everything up.

Nice post and images.

Good luck on the storm front, I hope you are not affected.

I think that white rooms look great, but for me not so practical. I love these images though, you are right the dark, glossy floor is to-die for.

Sending good vibes your way on the storm front.

Hi everyone!
I completely agree w/ white being impractical. I have a 3yr. old so I couldn't imagine living in an all white house! But it is good looking.

Thanks Patricia and Sarah, for the well wishes. As of now, it hasn't been bad at all.
