I Love Nateday!

Happy Nateday! If you don't know what I'm talking about go to Twitter and find all the bloggers writing about the amazing Nate Berkus. I found out about late in the game but I want to play along anyway. Here is one of my favorite posts from 2008..Yikes!! I think you'll understand how I feel about that Nate:)
Of course, I mean Nate BerkusElle Decor features the redesign of Berkus' personal home this month. It looks so wonderful I just had to take the opportunity to declare my true love for Nate. He has won my heart for a couple of reasons. First, the use of very eclectic accessories and furniture. Second, because of the amazing striped rugs. I don't know what it is with me and the stripes.

Any other Berkus fan club members, out there?

What a wonderful peek into Nate's home! I really like his use of old and new. The vintage industrial lighting is so refreshing, and those office chairs in the kitchen make the room very interesting.

I also wanted to let you know that I sincerely enjoy your great taste and eye for interior style :) I recently stumbled onto your blog and find myself coming by daily. From a vintage and eclectic aficionado, thank you for all the wonderful inspiration!

I do like the manly-ness of the home...but, the stripped rugs are making me dizzy...He seems like a really cool, down to earth person...I'd let him decorate my home...and I can't say that about too many designers...

I looove Nate. He signed a vase for me at Linens and things a couple years ago and I told him I had just graduated from design school (secretly hoping he would ask me to be his intern or something!) Didn't happen but I did get his signature- woo hoo

Hey everyone, I didn't realize I would be starting the "I love Nate Berkus" club.
Lauren, of course I partially love him because he is sooo cute!

Emily, I am so jealous!
Uncle Beefy: I've been thinking. Nate is never part of interventions on Oprah! I think that is just wishful thinking.

He's perfect. I love that he uses desk chairs in his kitchen against such a stylish table. Awesome!

It's never to late to join in on the fun. Nateday was a huge success, and why shouldn't it have been with such a wonderful designer. If only we all had our own "day!"
