This Home Needs a Hero!

I'm calling for an intervention..of sorts. A lot of you know about my passion for mid-century houses. Here is a house that is in danger of being torn down, unless someone steps in. The Houston Mod group listed it as its "Open House", in December, but it hasn't sold. The price has been lowered, and some Realtors are essentially selling it for the land. This is a very unfortunate side of Houston. A lot of the time, people choose to tear down an existing house in order to build a more ostentatious one. I only live a couple of miles away, and I love this neighborhood. I would love to adopt this house as my own, but I don't have the kind of budget to do it right now. I'm putting out a call for help, and maybe someone will take this on. Go to the HAR listing to read more.

I love this house. How much are kidneys worth, anyway?

Say what you will for the architecture, the thing that stood out to me was how dirty that house is. If the realtor needs an answer to why that house isn't selling, it's all about the presentation, and even if it's clean during a walk through I'll have the image of those photos with pizza boxes, trash, and dirtiness stuck in my mind.

Mamacita: I think a kidney would only cover the mortgage!

Allen: I was thinking the same thing about the pictures. They are NOT great! Hopefully, someone can see past the pizza boxes.
